Join Carling Mabry—aerospace engineer turned quilt coat designer and creator of the bestselling Carling Loves Cats Quilt Coat Pattern—for a 60-minute introduction to the art of quilt coat making. In this class, you’ll learn how to plan, visualize, and design your quilt coat, and understand what to consider when choosing both a quilt and a pattern. You’ll also discover how to use a traditional color wheel to guide your choices and find inspiration for repurposing quilts in creative ways, including: Finished vintage quilts, Vintage quilt blocks, pieces, or orphan blocks, or Store-bought quilts (updated or modified). You'll also take your designs further by looking at three very unique designs: rainbow gradient, t-shirts, and cheater fabrics.
